The Grass Has Gone From Crunchy to Jungle

Two weeks ago we were watering lawns, watching fire danger, and wondering if it would ever rain.

Then Montana did what Montana does.

Now the grass is growing faster than we can mow it.

The recent rain has been great for lawns, gardens, trees, and reducing fire concerns in many areas. The downside? Everything else is growing too.

Weeds are popping up overnight.

The lawn seems to need mowing every three days and those flowers we worried about a few weeks ago suddenly look happier than ever.

Montana Summer Truth:

One week you're dragging hoses around the yard.
The next week you're wondering if your lawn mower can keep up.

Of course, we'll take green grass, healthy gardens, and full rivers over dry conditions any day.

This week's reminder:
✔️ Mow when the ground is dry
✔️ Watch for standing water around foundations
✔️ Keep weeds under control before they take over
✔️ Enjoy the green while it lasts

Because if there's one thing we know about Montana, the weather will probably change again next week (or tomorrow).

What's growing fastest at your house right now—grass, weeds, or flowers?
